Campbelltown

Report by Mrs Norma McNally. Branch Secretary.

The members of Campbelltown Branch have held a very successful Christmas Hamper fund raiser, allowing them to support  projects at both Diocesan and Local levels. The members are most grateful to the parishioners of Campbelltown for their generous support. Through the branch members and friends we managed to provide ten worthwhile prizes to make ten families happy. One winner donated her prize to St Vincent de Paul who had a needy family ready to accept the hamper.

We congratulate our member, Kathy Wiggins, on being awarded a Papal Blessing, at the Catechist Mass in November, for 20 years as a Catechist in the State Schools. Well done Kathy.

At our annual elections, Elizabeth Crittenden. Margaret Harding, Norma McNally & Rina Sheehan accepted positions as President, Vice President, Secretary & Treasurer respectively, allowing the branch to function for a further year, dispite ill health & ageing of members. Father Michael Healy has offered to make a personal appeal for members in March.

All 31 members gathered on Tuesday 18th December for a dinner at the Campbelltown Catholic Club to enjoy each other socially and to celebrate the birthday of our dear Lord, as well as our success as a branch during 2007. It is really great that 2 foundation memberes Dorothy McAuliffe & Marjorie Ellich were able to join us.

On behalf of Campbelltown Branch of CWLA. we wish you all a Happy and Holy festival season with love ones and good health and happiness in the New Year -2008
