Mary MacKillop Centre

Gwynneville  C.W.L.A. organised a mini-bus trip to Mary MacKillop centre North Sydaney on 3rd June when 25 C.W.L.A members and friends enjoyed a day of learning about mary MacKillop’s life and trials.

with morning tea on arrival then a wonderful guided tour with Sister Rita ans one other guide taking us through the many areas depicting Mary’s life through visual, speech, recorded and videod scenes. each area showed artifactsa relative to Mary’s life. A wonderful way of showing and telling us of the life of this soon to be Australia’s first Saint.

After lunch, provided by the Centre, we visited Mary’s tomb within the Chapel for private prayer and meditation. Photo’s were taken with us gathered around her tomb.

We visited the gift shop which has a variety of gifts and cards for sale as well as many books.

We all agreed this was a most rewarding day and the Centre is not one to be missed to learn of Mary’s life, particularly leading up to her canonisation.
